Precip. Rate Change

These maps compare the precip. rate (rain rate) forecast by GFS today vs the same run yesterday for the timestamp on the plot. The maps show the change in the forecast from one day to the next. On the map, red areas are where less rain is forecast today vs yesterday and blue is more. Variations could be a result of a number of things, firstly the forecast rain rate may have changed, secondly the spatial distribution may have changed or thirdly the temporal (timing) of the rain may have changed.
